2015 Project Goals

Hi everyone. Well it is the last day of 2014. Hope it was a great one. It is that time of year to think about your goals for the new year. I have to say I am so excited. I am participating in 2 large Sals on New years day. Along with the other projects I have going and school it will be a busy year.
Here are my plans for 2015:

4.)Portrait - WIP

5.)Skull - WIP

Well that is it for my projects for this coming year.Cant wait to see how much I can get done.

The start of my spinning adventure!!!

So I was looking through Instagram photos and ran up on drop spinning. I was immediately intrigued so I looked at the group on Ravelry.com and started browsing and learning. I learned alot from the group and from Youtube videos. I talked to my man and we decided that I should give it a try so he ordered me a starter kit.

I have to say it is a lot harder than it looks. My first Lil spin was on the thick uneven side.

My second attempt is coming out a lot better. It is alittle overspun in some areas but I live it.

Here is a final pic of the yarn while twist are being set.

I am becoming addicted to spinning. Can not wait to get more roving and continue.

Fantastic find and WIP updates!!!!

It has been a little while since my last post so thought I would do an update. But first I have to so my stitchy mail from last month. I found some wonderful hand dyed floss from a Facebook group. The name is Fiberlicious and I am in love. I can not wait to get more.

Now to my updates!! To go along with this floss here is the start of my skull stitched in Vampire Raspberry from Fiberlicious.

Next up is my portrait of me and my man. Not much done in it.

Next is my blackwork piece. Still loving my color choice!

Lastly is my large project that I just can't put down this week.

My Angel!!

Finally finished with my Angel. Did not do the backstitching because Lil man tore the pattern up. I think it is beautiful without it though. On to working on my large project. Hope everyone have a great week.

Great weekend!!!

Had such a good stitch weekend. Even with a teething baby who is still learning to sit up on his own I got a great start on my large project.

I decided to take out the grid just did not feel right to me.

I also got a great gift in the mail and just had to try it out.

I am so close to having this Angel done.

World Cross Stitch Day!!!!

Hi all as I mentioned earlier I will be doing a new start this weekend. In honor of World Cross Stitch I decided to do a stitch-a-thon. This week I have been getting things ready. This is gonna be a large project. I have riddled the first page on the fabric and m all ready to start.

Hi!!

Ok guys!!! I know I have not really been posting much. I am so emotionally drained lately with everything going on. I also started a book blog. I finally have a love of reading and it really helps with taking me away from all the real world problems.
Little man is growing so fast. He is now sitting up all by him self and crawling (well rolling) all over the place.

I have done alot of stitching on my lil angel but unfortunately my man took my camera today so I will have to put that in my next post.

I did start a new blanket this week. Since many of my friends are pregnant and having little girls I decided that I wanted to make a baby blanket.

This Friday is World Cross Stitch Day so I and deciding to do a new start. Yay. I am getting everything together so keep a look out this week.

Its Been a long time!

Wow I did not realize how long it has been since I have blogged. Life has been so busy. We have welcomed a new little one in to the family.

I have also started school at South University Online. Hope I can complete school this time around!!!

I have been busy with my crafts cross stitch and crochet. Here is every thing I have worked on since the last timed I posted.

I made this little dress before we found out what we were having . We were hoping for a little girl because this was our last baby. But I have to say I love my little man so much I would never change a thing.

Finally finished my portrait and have to say love how it came out. Cant wait to do another one soon.
